I had a course of six sessions of CAP Therapy with Amy. She treated my hands which were worst affected, my arms, face and neck for Topical Steroid withdrawal 

 

I would highly recommend doing CAP with Amy, she also helped me mentally in many ways to get through what I believe was 'TSW. It's a challenging time to navigate especially with the lack of medical awareness of the condition.

 

So having the support of Amy, and the advice she gave as she went through it herself got me through it mentally, this was half of the issue, as well as physically 

 

I noticed a big difference in my skin throughout the process. When I started my skin was red raw, with cuts everywhere and I was repeatedly getting infections because of the wounds. However what the treatment did for me was steralise the skin, minimising my chances of getting an infection.

This meant that my skin dried out quite rapidly and went into a proliferation stage, revealing new stronger and thicker skin, which could begin to withstand everyday life 

 

However I do want to reiterate the importance of the aftercare during treatment especially if going through TSW.

Avoidance of irritants and allergens is essential and also being aware of flare triggers. I did no moisture treatment during the six weeks alongside daily Red Light Therapy. Both these things combined alongside treatment helped to thicken the skin barrier and avoid flares.

This treatment has massively helped my hands and face begin to recover and for those suffering and wanting a natural alternative, I highly recommend this treatment
